Punane täidlane poolkuiv vein. Intensiivse sügavpunase tooniga veinil on küpsetele viljadele (viigimari, ploom) vihjavad aroominüansid. Maitse on lopsakas-mahlane, tasakaalus. Järelmaitses on tunda vihjeid tammelaagerdusele (kakao, vanilje), tanniin on ümar, siidjas.Passivento meetodil valminud veini viinamarjade osaline kuivatamine algab juba veiniaias ning viiakse lõpule spetsiaalses kontrollitud ventilatsiooniga ruumis. Nii saavutatakse marjade ideaalne dehüdratsiooni tase enne nende pressimist.Barone Montalto on nr.1 Itaalia veini kaubamärk Eestis (AC Nielsen 2019).
